NightQuarter to deliver festival flavours to celebrate GC2018
Food, music and culture will merge at the Gold Coast’s iconic NightQuarter next April when it features a delectable Festival 2018 program as part of GC2018.
Located in the northern suburb of Helensvale, NightQuarter is one of the Gold Coast’s premier food and music destinations, home to over 60 street-food style restaurants and a unique live music space.
With the whole city set to come alive at Games time, NightQuarter will extend its normal trading hours to operate daily from 5-14 April 2018, cementing itself as the destination for authentic local flavours when it delivers a bold food festival as part of Festival 2018.
Open from midday to 9:00pm, the food program will be complemented by a cultural program of local and international musicians from around the Commonwealth.
GOLDOC CEO Mark Peters was excited about the announcement.
“What a fantastic way to enjoy, learn about and taste the various cuisine offerings of the Gold Coast and music from around the world," he said.
“Festival 2018 and the programs running at NightQuarter are a great way to extend the Games experience beyond the stadium, embracing everything that the Coast has to offer.
“Featuring international artists and local musicians, NightQuarter will be the place to be at the Northern end of the Coast throughout the Games,”
NightQuarter Owner and Food Festival Director Michelle Christoe was also looking forward to the event.
“We’re extremely proud of the local food industry and being able to share this with residents and visitors to the Gold Coast during the Commonwealth Games next April," she said.
“This explosion of culinary and music events broadens the audience perception of the Gold Coast and strengthens its appeal as a tourism destination."
The full program of events will be announced in early February 2018. For the latest Festival 2018 updates, please visit gc2018.com/festival2018.
